About this event
Do you like insects? Do you like to catch them to study their color, shape, and size? If you said yes to those questions, you should come to Merry Lea to look for some local critters! We will be reading a story about the kinds of insects we can find then we will be using sweep nets to explore the area for interesting insects!
Come prepared to be outside for the whole program time.
What is Tales & Trails?
Children and their caregiver(s) gather for a short story that incites curiosity before exploring different locations around Merry Lea’s property. Expect to hear a tale & hike a trail while discovering the natural wonders around you together. This is a 1.5 hour monthly program designed for children ages 3-5, with younger siblings welcome to join, led by a Merry Lea educator.
Registration is not required for this event series: you’re welcome to drop in without registering. By registering for this program you are signing up for the Tales and Trails monthly email list, which shares details like upcoming program location and more!
*Please note that you do not need to sign up for every Tales & Trails program in the series.
