This month at Tales and Trails, we’ll be reading My Awesome Summer by P. Mantis, written by Paul Meisel. This lively story follows a praying mantis through its summer life cycle. After our reading, we’ll head out to the Merry Lea Teaching Farm to look for signs that insects and other creatures are waking up from their long winter nap.
What is Tales & Trails?
Children and their caregiver(s) gather for a short story that incites curiosity before exploring different locations around Merry Lea’s property. Expect to hear a tale & hike a trail while discovering the natural wonders around you together. This is a 1.5 hour monthly program designed for children ages 3-5, with younger siblings welcome to join, led by a Merry Lea educator.
