Gonzalo Barahona Hernandez

Gonzalo graduated from Goshen College in 2024 with a degree in Biology with a minor in Sustainable Food Systems. He originally got connected to Merry Lea through our ASI (Agroecology Summer Intensive) course and the grassland burning/grazing research. In 2023, he then joined as a farm intern at the Teaching Farm. In March 2025, he joined the Merry Lea team to help with the operations crew with various projects, trail clean-up, building maintenance and more!

In Gonzalo’s free time, he enjoys helping local food systems, gardening, cooking/baking, and spending time in nature.
