John teaches in both undergraduate programs and the masters of environmental education; courses include GIS/remote sensing, climate change, soil science, botany, agroecology/food systems, and upper level undergraduate research.
He is broadly trained as a biogeochemist and uses his expertise across a range of systems including prairie soils, parasite/host systems, and regenerative agriculture in general. John participates as part of local food councils and non profits as part of his outreach.
