Let’s make pickles! Salty, crunchy pickles! Children will help cut up cucumbers and make a quick pickle. Then we will read a book and taste some seasonal produce while identifying which part of the plant we eat. Before the end we will taste the pickles!
Come prepared to be outside for the whole program time.
What is Tales & Trails?
Children and their caregiver(s) gather for a short story that incites curiosity before exploring different locations around Merry Lea’s property. Expect to hear a tale & hike a trail while discovering the natural wonders around you together. This is a 1.5 hour monthly program designed for children ages 3-5, with younger siblings welcome to join, led by a Merry Lea educator.
Registration is not required for this event series: you’re welcome to drop in without registering. By registering for this program you are signing up for the Tales and Trails monthly email list, which shares details like upcoming program location and more!
