Wonderful Wetlands

The Wonderful Wetlands field trip program provides students with a hands-on and engaging experience in exploring wetland ecosystems. The program features a variety of activities that incorporate different senses and learning styles, including hiking, games, using microscopes, and dipping for aquatic critters.

During the hike, students will have the opportunity to observe the plants and animals that make up the wetland ecosystem, and learn about their adaptations for survival in this unique environment.

Students will dip for aquatic invertebrates, and use their findings to assess the water quality of the wetland. Using microscopes, students will observe and identify the macroinvertebrates that live in wetlands and observe their characteristics.

Overall, the Wonderful Wetlands field trip program offers a fun and educational experience that helps students develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for the vital role that wetlands play in our ecosystem.
