Trees are Terrific

This program is all about trees! Come explore these woody neighbors in many ways. Students will be exposed to scientific concepts of tree anatomy, as well as the rich complexity of forest ecosystems. Activities will reveal the many ways animals and plants live right here in Northern Indiana- from a woodpecker’s habitat to growing substrates for fungi and mushrooms.

This trail-based program gets students outside to get a first-hand look at the forest. Activities like “Meet a Tree” and others demonstrate characteristics of tree identification and SO much more.
